Is Der Dutchman only in Ohio?

Famous restaurant franchise Der Dutchman specializes in Amish-style baked goods and cookery. It serves homemade dinner rolls, freshly baked doughnuts, and a substantial buffet. But the question is, does Der Dutchman only operate in Ohio, or is there another state where it has locations?

The History of Der Dutchman

In an effort to spread awareness of Amish culture and food, Bob and Sue Miller opened the small 75-seat Der Dutchman restaurant in Walnut Creek, Ohio, in 1969. With time, the Millers opened more outlets in Ohio cities like Plain City, Bellville, and Berlin, growing their reputation, menu, and number of seats.

The Millers sold their enterprise in 1987 to Dutchman Hospitality Group, which operates theaters, stores, and inns with an Amish motif. Der Dutchman kept expanding under Dutchman Hospitality Group, adding more sites throughout Ohio and beyond.

The Locations of Der Dutchman
